Guidelines for Submitting International Artefacts to the 9th International Fajr Festival of Handicrafts (Sarv-e Simin)
International artisanss are invited to participate in the 9th Sarv-e Simin International Festival of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts. Please carefully review the following guidelines to ensure compliance with the submission requirements:
- Features of Submitted Works
- All works must meet the highest standards of design and execution, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship, creativity, and originality.
- Submissions should reflect the artisan’s unique vision and the cultural richness of their country of origin.
- Submission Process
- International submissions must be introduced through cultural attachés of embassies in coordination with the World Crafts Council (WCC).
- Cultural attachés are responsible for providing complete and accurate information about the artwork and the artisan to the festival secretariat for official registration.
- Dimensions and Transport Requirements
- The size and weight of submitted works must be manageable for transportation by a single individual. Oversized or excessively heavy works will not be accepted.
- If a piece requires special protective packaging (e.g., durable cases or custom covers), the artisan or their representative must provide the necessary accessories to ensure the safe transport and handling of the artwork.
- Maximum Number of Submissions
- Each international artisan may submit a maximum of three works for the festival. These works must be new and exclusive and must not have been presented at any previous festivals or exhibitions.
- Responsibilities of Artisans and Representatives
- The artisan or their official representative (e.g., cultural attaché) is responsible for the accuracy of the information and the quality of the submitted works.
- Any deficiencies in the submission process or non-compliance with the specified conditions may result in disqualification from the evaluation and exhibition stages.
- Artisans must ensure that all necessary details about their work, including dimensions, techniques, and conceptual explanations, are thoroughly provided.
- Important Notes
- Only works that fully comply with the above conditions will be accepted for evaluation and exhibition.
- The festival secretariat reserves the right to request additional information or accessories if necessary or to reject works that do not meet the outlined criteria.
- Upon successful registration of their work, international participants will receive a tracking code on the festival website. This code serves as proof of submission and is essential for tracking the status of their work throughout the festival process. Participants must ensure that they do not lose or share this code, as it is the only way to verify their registration.
- It is important to note that the registration process is not considered complete until the tracking code is displayed. If the code does not appear, participants should review their submission and ensure all required information has been correctly provided. Keeping this code in a safe and secure place is the responsibility of the participant.
These guidelines aim to create a professional and organized platform for international artisans to showcase their unique contributions to the global heritage of handicrafts. By adhering to these conditions, participants can help ensure a successful and impactful representation of their artistry on an international stage.
