On the fourth day of Fajr International handicrafts and traditional arts festival, a beautiful narration of the story of “Rostam and Ashkobus” was recited before the audience.

According to the news staff of the 7th Fajr Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), Saturday February 18, on the fourth day of the festival, Mohammad Reza Majuni recited the story of “Rostam and Ashkbos” from the Shahnameh of Hakim Abolqasem Ferdowsi.

Majouni said: Shahnameh is a document of pride for Iranians. Three words are repeated the most in the Shahnameh: Iran, wisdom and Rostam. Shahnameh has two strong foundations: theology and rationalism, which can be clearly seen in the Shahnameh.

This veteran Naqqal (narrator) continued: All celebrations, rituals, customs and traditions can be seen in Shahnameh. From Nowruz to people’s culture, are recorded in this masterpiece.

The 7th edition of Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), is being held from 15-23 February at National Museum of Iran.
