Shervin Goudarzi introduced world list Inscribed Elements of Iran (in the field of traditional craftsmanship) and introduced two world inscribed elements in traditional craftsmanship domain in a training workshop.
According to the news staff of the 7th Fajr Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), ” Introduction to Inscription of Intangible Cultural Heritage Elements (Traditional Craftsmanship) on the Lists of UNESCO ” was the title of the workshop on the fifth day of the festival, held on Sunday February 19 at the Research Institute of Cultural Heritage & Tourism.
In this workshop, Shervin Guderzi said: there is a connection between handicrafts and intangible cultural heritage, and we should focus on the knowledge that created this structure.
He added: the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between UNESCO and Iran for the establishment of the Intangible cultural Heritage Center is one of the valuable measures, and this opportunity has been provided to carry out research activities in special and specialized categories, including intangible cultural heritage.
Gouderzi stated: Now, with countries including Iran joining the Convention on Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage, the issue of rebuilding a part of the forgotten identity and even creating an identity through cultural heritage, especially through intangible cultural heritage, has become one of the serious challenges in the international arena.
The 7th edition of Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), is being held from 15-23 February at National Museum of Iran.
