Hojjat-ul-Islam Wal-Muslimin Abdul Hossein Khosropanah said: I suggested that a handicrafts document be prepared in the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts to ratify this document in the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution. This document should be operational, practical and supportive so that we can support the economic sector of handicrafts.
According to the news staff of the 7th Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), Hojjatul-Islam Wal-Muslimin Abdul Hossein Khosropanah; the secretary of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, during his visit to the festival said: I thank God that this art and the ancient heritage of our Islamic Iran is not only still alive, but has grown stronger.
He added: the new generation of artisans created new and innovative artworks in the fields of ghalam zani (metal working) kilim weaving and other activities in the field of handicrafts, and we see a link between tradition and modernity in handicrafts. These artworks are a link between handicrafts and life.
The secretary of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution stated: If the required objects used by people are linked with handicrafts and art, our cultural dimension will actually be strengthened.
Hojjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Khosropanah mentioning that these artworks are very valuable, continued: our handicrafts are not just a technique, but a very important technology that is backed by wisdom and knowledge. Those who have worked in the field of Iranian Islamic wisdom, realize that the patterns and motifs in handicrafts are constant and current and have a wisdom and knowledge support.
He said: I thank the artisans for keeping the traditional arts alive to be transmitted to the next generations. The duty of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution is to support these precious arts.
