Ali Salajegheh said: the main approach of this festival is environment and each of these arts is unique in the world. Each of the artworks that participated in the festival has an environmental component.
According to the news staff of the 7th Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), Ali Salajegheh, the Vice President of I.R.Iran and Head of Department of Environment, during his visit to the festival said: handicrafts in this festival have exposed our identity and behind this identity there are forward-thinking ideas that have been remained from our predecessors.
He added: the main approach of this festival is environment and each of these arts are unique in the world. Each of the artworks that participated in the festival have an environmental component. All of these artworks are inspired by nature, whether from the animal, plant and cultural aspects, as well as from the aspect of customs and traditions, all of them originate from nature, and the living spirit that governs the exhibition is derived from nature, which shows that man has respect for his environment.
Ali Salajegheh said: the inspiration that artisans get from the environment is based on different forms of nature and is very valuable. All raw materials used in the festival’s artworks are environmentally friendly. The people of each region tried to use the natural materials of their own region.
The vice president continued: I hope the media will play its role better and our people will see the festival artworks. The whole government cabinet can play a role in this festival so that these efforts have their market value in the international scale. We can see the nature of the country in the artworks of the festival.
The 7th edition of Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), is being held from 15-23 February at National Museum of Iran.
