The winners of the “Toranj-e Simin” statuette, “Intangible Cultural Heritage” and “Ruyesh-e Dobare Sarv”(Regrowth of Cypress), as well as the celebrated artisans who are renowned in the world in the fields of Iranian handicrafts and traditional arts, were honored at the closing ceremony of 7th Sarv-e Simin Festival.
According to the news staff of the 7th Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), the closing ceremony of this festival was held on Thursday evening 23 February 2023 at Milad Tower conference hall and the winners were honored.
In the special section of the festival, the selected ones were announced as follows:
- In the subject of “Art in the Shrine”, a plaque of appreciation was awarded to Mahdi Asadi in the field of “Ghalam Zani” (repoussé and chasing) from Fars province and Jalal Gholami in the field of “Khatam Kari” (wood inlaying) from Fars province, the manufacturers of Zarih of the holy Shrines.
- Awarding “Toranj-e Simin” and a plaque of appreciation to Mahpare Akbari in the field of Traditional Embroidery from Kurdistan province.
- Awarding the statuette of “Ruyesh-e Dobare Sarv” (Regrowth of Cypress), ” and a plaque of appreciation to Molud Khospi and Arvin Khospi from the Khospi family in the field of Kalash (Kurdish giveh) from Kurdistan province.
- Awarding a special statuette of “Intangible Cultural Heritage” to Khadije Pughe in the field of “Turkmen needlework (embroidery)” from Golestan province.
At the end of special section, the celebrated artisans who are renowned in the world in the fields of Iranian handicrafts and traditional arts were honored with a plaque of appreciation.
- Shadi Habib in the field of “wood carving and wooden works”
- Mohammad Ali Vadud in the field of “wooden arts”
- Razieh Jalili in the field of “handmade gold and jewelry”
The 7th edition of Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), was held from 15-23 February at National Museum of Iran.
