The news staff of the 7th Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7) reported: Maryam Jalali; the chairwoman of Sarv-e Simin festival’s policymaking council, in the closing ceremony held on Thursday evening (February 26) at Milad Tower International Conference Hall, stated: the name of Iran has been recorded in history. Culture-based production and identity-based economy is the biggest achievements of Iran. Handicrafts include knowledge-based and family-oriented behavior and basic wisdom.
She added: Handicrafts is preserving art and connecting identity with livelihood. The name of this family’s art is tied to passion and love. Artisans have kept alive the identity roots of this land.
Maryam Jalali said: We are a big family of handicrafts artisans, and we appreciate the efforts of each and every one of them. It is our honor to serve artisans and we are always trying to preserve the dignity of artisans, especially handicrafts artisans.
The Vice Minister for Handicrafts of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts continued: this festival is an opportunity to be the messenger of the soft power of art in line with Iranian Islamic civilization. I appreciate the individual efforts of this family members, who all tried and worked hard to hold this festival as well as possible.
In the end, she said: We are waiting for the necessary orders to build the handicrafts museum. Establishing handicrafts museum is the desire of all members of the big handicrafts’ family.
The 7th edition of Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), was held from 15-23 February at National Museum of Iran.
