According to the festival's Policy Council chaired by Maryam Jalali, Deputy of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts, the event aims to link diverse stakeholders in Iran’s rich handicraft ecosystem, paving the way for market expansion both locally and internationally.

During the first policy council meeting held at the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Jalali emphasized the festival’s distinction from other cultural events by focusing on creativity, innovation, and tangible outcomes. "Handicrafts, with their broad and inclusive appeal, serve as a medium to foster unity and connection across different communities," she stated.

In line with this vision, the festival will feature multiple thematic segments, including the prestigious "Craft Auction," exhibitions of exquisite Iranian handicrafts, and film screenings highlighting the nation's rich artistic heritage. Transparency and fairness are central to the event, with an independent panel of judges evaluating submissions based on the preservation of traditional values and cultural impact.

Behzad Ahmadi Farsani, Scientific Secretary of the festival, highlighted key initiatives such as publishing a catalog of exceptional works, selecting four international judges, and creating a comprehensive database for valuable handicraft pieces. The festival will also celebrate veteran artisans, women artists, and innovators across various categories.
