The 9th Fajr International Handicrafts Festival opened at the Sa’dabad Cultural-Historical Complex in Tehran, bringing together artisans, officials, and visitors to celebrate the diversity of traditional crafts. The event began with an official ceremony, followed by the symbolic planting of nine cypress saplings, representing eternity.

The 9th Fajr International Handicrafts Festival officially opened at the Museum of Contemporary Arts in the Sa’dabad Cultural-Historical Complex in Tehran.

The opening ceremony was attended by Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, Mr. Javad Zarif, Strategic Deputy to the President, and Ms. Maryam Jalali Dehkordi, Deputy for Handicrafts.

Following the opening speeches, nine cypress saplings—a symbol of eternity—were planted, marking the festival’s inauguration. The exhibition doors were then opened to the public.

Dignitaries, artists, journalists, and visitors explored the showcased works, celebrating the rich heritage of Iranian and international handicrafts.
