The panel of national and international judges for the 9th International Fajr Handicrafts Festival (Sarv-e Simin) has been officially introduced.
According to Mirath Aria news agency, the esteemed panel of judges and evaluators for this year’s festival includes both distinguished Iranian experts and internationally recognized figures from the World Crafts Council.
The international panel features Baby Jurmawati Kumiawan from Indonesia, Nourma Roksana Amaria from Argentina, Sandip Komar from India, and Sitichai Smanchat from Thailand, who have traveled to Iran as representatives of the World Crafts Council.
The national jury includes prominent Iranian experts: Ardeshir Mojarrad Takestani, a master of Persian miniature painting; Mohammad Taghi Ashouri, a senior faculty member at the University of Art; Mohammad Hassan Golchinpour, a distinguished expert in metal crafts; Mohammad Reza Sharifzadeh, a leading figure in visual arts; Ardeshir Mirmongereh, former Deputy of Visual Arts at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance; Mehdi Amraei, university professor and researcher; Jila Rasam Arabzadeh, an expert in handmade textiles and a member of the renowned Arabzadeh family; Mehdi Mohammadi, head of the Handicrafts Department at Sooreh University; and Arash Heidarian, an active specialist in handwoven carpets and handicrafts.
According to this report, the judging process will be conducted entirely electronically, ensuring a fair and transparent evaluation of the submitted works. Additionally, the Judges’ Committee will hold a meeting to discuss and finalize the assessment methodologies.
