After a meticulous evaluation by the jury, the top 20 artworks of the 9th International Fajr Handicrafts Festival have been selected as the finalists of this edition. The final winners will be announced during the festival’s closing ceremony, which will take place on Monday at Milad Tower.
According to Mirath Aria, citing the festival’s secretariat, a panel of 13 distinguished national and international judges carefully reviewed the exhibited works and shortlisted 20 outstanding pieces as the final nominees for this year’s festival.
These finalists were chosen from the 200 artworks that made it to the exhibition, which themselves were selected from an initial pool of approximately 7,500 submissions to the festival secretariat.
The 20 finalists of the Sarv-e Simin festival are as follows:
- Amir Barqzadegan from Hamedan Province (Ornamental Wood Joinery)
- Abolfazl Sabet from Tehran Province (Glass Engraving)
- Vahid Hassanzad Fanid from East Azarbaijan Province (Papier-mâché)
- Hamidreza Heydari from Zanjan Province (GhahveKhane Painting)
- Mohammad Khorshidi from Arak Province (Metal Engraving and Traditional Jewelry – three nominated works)
- Mohammadreza Rezazadeh from South Khorasan Province (Metal Engraving)
- Zeinab Salahshour from Alborz Province (Sistani Embroidery)
- Saba Shiri from Tehran Province (Kilim Weaving)
- Mehran Shirzadeh from Isfahan Province (Metal Engraving)
- Ehsan Safaei & Majid Fattahi from Isfahan Province (Painted Enamel)
- Fatemeh Farrokhvand from Isfahan Province (Illumination Art – Tazhib)
- Ali Akbar Faghfour Reihani from East Azarbaijan Province (Stained Glass and Orsi Window Making)
- Zahra Ghasemi from Isfahan Province (Metal Engraving)
- Ayatollah Goudarzi from Lorestan Province (Religious Emblem Making)
- Nahid Mohammadi from Kordestan Province (Kilim Weaving)

- Mahboob Noei Aghdam from Ardabil Province (Wood Latticework – Gereh-Chini)
The closing ceremony of the festival will be held on Monday, February 24, at 6:00 PM in Milad Tower, Tehran, where the final winners will be announced and honored on stage. Special festival awards will be presented to the outstanding artists in recognition of their exceptional contributions to the field of handicrafts.
