The Art of the Ancestors Is Now Taking Its Powerful Path

The head of the National (Traditional) Arts Research Group of the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Research Institute said: In this festival, the artworks and art of the ancestors and fathers have been inspired and these artworks have been recreated and now they are going on their powerful path.

According to the news staff of the 7th Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), Tayyaba Ezatollahinejad; the head of the National (Traditional) Arts Research Group of the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Research Institute, on the sidelines of her visit to the festival, said: “Handicrafts are the art of all periods of Iran, which has been going on for a long time, and today, from miniature to kilims and carpets, it has exhibited a part of Iranian culture.

She said: Some of the artworks exhibited in the 7th International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival are very strong and we can see the skill and ability of the artisans in the handicraft designs.

Ezzatollahinejad further mentioned the art of the predecessors and added: In this festival, the artworks and art of the ancestors and fathers have been inspired and these artworks have been recreated and now they are going on their powerful path.

At the end of her talk, the head of the National (Traditional) Arts Research Group of the Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, said: I hope the 7th Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival will become a platform for the dynamism and participation of culture so that the exhibited artworks will show themselves more to the world.

The 7th Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7) is being held from 15- 23 February 2023 at the National Museum of Iran.
