Fardin Sadegh Ayoubi said: we must be diligent in preserving Iranian art and handicrafts and not let this original art slip away from our hands, because the historical reminder that is the base of our beliefs will be lost.

According to the news staff of the 7th Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), Fardin Sadegh Ayubi; the veteran artist of the visual arts, while visiting the festival, said: The artworks exhibited in the festival are excellent and unique. We must make people attend the festival enthusiastically and reach this self-awareness and get closer to the Iranian national identity, because what is displayed in this festival is the sublime heritage and honors that have been left behind by our ancestors and fathers.

He continued: We must be diligent in preserving the Iranian art and handicrafts, because in today’s world, if we cannot preserve this valuable art, the dominant cultures which have threshed and reaped the threshing floor of all cultures, will snatch this original art from us and that historical  reminder that is the firm base of our beliefs will be lost.

This veteran artist said: this festival is a reminder to the young generation based on national consciousness and historical self-awareness, because all that have happened throughout history is being together in a cultural kinship in sorrow and happiness which we have shared and we should not forget this solidarity.

In the end, Sadegh Ayubi said: We should not think that everything our predecessors achieved in the name of art and handicrafts was easy, but they preserved these artworks with many ups and downs and we should not lose this precious Iranian art easily.

The 7th Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7) is being held from 15- 23 February 2023 at the National Museum of Iran.
