The national training workshop titled ” Presenting Good Practices of Ecotourism in Handicrafts Domain ” was held in cooperation with the Association of Ecotourism Resorts & Residences.
According to the news staff of the 7th International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), in the second workshop of the festival, Yavar Abiri; the head of Ecotourism Resorts & Residences Association said: handicrafts and ecotourism complement each other and can overlap.
He added: ecotourism resorts & residences started working in the 80s AH and were accompanied by ups and downs until the 90s AH. After the 90s AH, businesses in the field of ecotourism were launched and the activity of this profession increased. We now have 3,400 ecotourism resorts & residences and are looking to strengthen the education in this profession.
Abiri stated in this workshop: One of the issues that can harm ecotourism and the environment is littering, and we deal with this important issue with various trainings in tourism spaces.
The 7th edition of Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7) is being held from 15- 23 February 2023 at the National Museum of Iran.
