Master artisan Hassan Feizi Rad said: the artworks presented in the festival are excellent and unique, because everyone with their special art and skill participated in the festival to expose their works to the enthusiasts. According to the news staff of the 7th Fajr Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), master artisan Hassan Faizi Rad; the veteran artisan in the field of Sahafi (bookbinding) and the honorary chairman of the third day of the festival, visited its different sections ,while planting the third cypress seedling of this cultural event.
During his visit, he said: I was engaged in Sahafi (bookbinding) for 20 years in Astan Quds Razavi, and I have been working in this field for several years in Golestan Palace. I was also working on bookbinding with one of the veteran bookbinders named Haj Agha Rofugran in Astan Quds Razavi.
This Sahaf artisan continued: I learned traditional bookbinding from my father, Ali Feizi Rad, and I also apprenticed to the German master Friedrich Lahn Kammerer, and I learned foreign bookbinding from this German master. Friedrich was born in Berlin and had a large workshop and was engaged in bookbinding.
Master artisan Feizi Rad also said: old restoration includes the binding of manuscripts and documents and parchment, and the bindings are mostly done on paper.

The 7th edition of Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), is being held from 15-23 February at National Museum of Iran.
