Europeans take designs and patterns from Iranian ethnic communities’ clothes and modernize them and use these designs and patterns in their clothing.
According to the news staff of the 7th Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), Mahpare Akbari, an artisan active in the field of designing and sewing traditional clothes who has received the “Toranj-e Simin” medal of the festival in previous editions, said: In addition to being active in the field of designing and sewing Iranian and world traditional clothes, I am researching about the clothing of Iranian ethnic communities.
she added: I have worked completely in the field of Iranian ethnic communities’ clothing in the provinces of the country. These clothes are very beautiful and this shows that Iranian peoples’ clothing are very meaningful. I get inspiration from these designs and patterns to sew modern clothes.
Mahpare Akbari continued: I have traveled to 16 countries to introduce Iranian traditional clothes. I don’t think anywhere in the world has this type of clothing, but they take inspiration from our designs and patterns and update it.

She added: I researched more on Qajar period clothing and presented these clothes in a modern way.
Mahpare Akbari said at the end: the artworks presented in the festival are very beautiful and are the achievements of the skillful hands of rural women and men, which dazzles the eyes of every viewer.
The 7th edition of Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival (Sarv-e Simin-e 7), was held from 15-23 February at National Museum of Iran.
